design-crowdsourcing-process

Utilizing the creativeness of the crowd. The more ideas the merrier. (Cheaper too)

Wikipedia defines crowd-sourcing as:

a neologism for the act of taking tasks traditionally performed by an employee or contractor, and outsourcing them to a group (crowd) of people or community in the form of an open call.

It is essentially a community-generated output (design) that involves any one interested in participating and joining a specific project. Think of it like an ad agency pitching for a company account. The only difference would be the sheer number of people pitching multiple ideas and the fact that the pitch is already a near finished work.

If you want to try out your luck amongst other talented and professionals designers around the world check out some of these design crowd-sourcing websites after the jump.

Already collated your best works and want to showcase them online but don’t have your own website? You may want to check the following websites.

Being a part-time web instructor before, I advise my students to post their works online and to go the free route. I encourage them to make their collections of designs as mobile as possible since the subject required them to create a project with a client of their choice (pro-bono or paid)
